day’s eye

[Poet’s Note : “daisy” originates from the Old English word for day’s eye which meant The Sun. Apparently the flower was given this name because of its rays of petals around a centre & a short lived spring life]

slumber
rise shine

winter
done run

shiver
spring bring

flower
wishes

paths cross
in dross

she speaks
listen

white rays
one day

blow straight
no hate

daisy
cadence

face grace
no haste
