And there are days we're in pain cause we're not normal and others we decide we love it anyway, there are dreams we don't agree to get up from and others we are so happy when we know it just wasn't real--

Daydreaming, I've read before, is a healthy occupation as long as it doesn't interfere with our daily lives. It is similar to taking a cat nap during the day. Some people who do this say they have more energy when they wake up. If they dream while taking a short snooze and it is a pleasant one, then it is ice cream on the cake. Your poem is a good write. Ah, time to take a cat nap and dream a little dream...
