Daydreams
The ice on my window sill
The frigid air that blows
Seems as summer heat to my soul
I smile, I work, I tend my flock
But yearn for his arms in which to rock
To walk on the beach and bask in the sun
Oh how much longer this race I must run???
I need to smell the salt air and feel the warm sand
To awaken beneath the feel of his hand
I yearn to roll in the waves
Tossed on his passion, I crave
Yet I sit here and ponder my fate,
My work to do, my time to wait
I steal a moment now and then
And imagine his lips warm on my skin
These tiny moments, these day dreams I take
My life’s blood until myself I no longer forsake
His caress, his warmth someday will be mine
Hand in hand we will walk in sunshine!!!!
