Daydreaming
DAYDREAMING:
Lost, in distant stare,
The solitary beauty,
Stood in flowery dress.
Like a daisy, she stood,
Beneath a spotlight.
Lost, in deeper stare,
Interlocking palms,
Waltzing to the melody,
A song with no words
As the melody fades,
Waltz a final bow.
Raise my head, to an empty space,
She disappeared-
The sound silenced.
Lost, in a deepest stare,
Now I'm in a garden,
A location, behind the spotlight.
She sits, wearing a white sari, lonely.
Both hands rest upon a table,
I approach, with a bright smile,
I sit opposite her,
Take her hands in mine,
Bending forward to kiss them,
A quick deep breath,
She returns the smile
All this, with my eyes open wide,
Snapping out of it,
What an unforgiving nature, “Rain”
My consciousness, I regain,
Knowing it was all a Daydream.
