Daydream Melody
A song can bring love’s daydream melody,
adrift upon a cloud of make believe
and then a woman’s mind will float away,
on silver linings to her wedding day.
A song can bring kind daydream melodies
especially when it means a memory
has come to warm the heart with a caress
and say with time all things work out for best
A song can bring a daydream's gaiety,
and mask pure lies the heart cannot bear see.
For just a glimpse of truth would surely slay
romantic hopes that pray to have their way.
A song can lift you out of feeling blue
envisioning the good things two can do.
Remember what it says may not come true.
Reality belongs to only you.
