Daybreak By Design

an eager morning sun is rising
though the moon still hangs pale over the water
and all things trivial cease to matter
when earth and sky are compromising 

I'll find dawn's beauty by design
and find, as well, joy overcome
my heart, my soul, while watching from
the window of day-night, entwined
