Daybreak

The morning star fades from the depths of night; Shadowed hills, cloaked with bony leafless trees, The horizon breaks into tinted light, Clouds forming aloft, drifting on the breeze, In the east the sun prepares to ignite, Without exception, a diurnal flight. Lovely depiction of dawn, Paulette, congratulations on your win. I also very much like your first poem, 'First Snow'. // Barry

A wonderfully descriptive write Paulette. I've been watching dawn arrive almost every day for the last three weeks over a small lake where I work. When the warmth of the sun hits the water it creates beautiful eddies over the water like tiny slow moving tornadoes.
