DAY OF THE DRAGONFLY

DAY OF THE DRAGONFLY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
morning’s misty veil
rainbow hues upon the air
gossamer wings dance

iridescent sheen
dragonfly's delicate form
dances free and light

river's gentle flow
dragonfly's aquatic home
drinking in the dew

moonlight's silver glow
dragonfly's nocturnal song
echoes through the night
