Day Into Night
Birds are singing at the rising sun
While a glow climbs up the rim of the horizon.
The rising light settles down upon the land
As it spreads across the landscape
Sometimes filled with warmth
While bringing life to many below
The sun bring's the day
Twilight begins
Birds silhouettes now against the setting sun.
The sun falls on the rim of the horizon.
Falling light disappears behind the land
Darkness spreads across the sky
Many times stars fill the heavens above
Standing here we wonder about
The forces here at play.
