Day Counting

Today I find myself 
deep in thought trying 
to make sense of this 
hand i've been dealt 
they say what doesn't
kill you makes you stronger 
they must have not had 
their father commit suicide 
because i barely have 
enough strength to make it 
through the day they must
not know that pain in 
your heart that will haunt 
you for the rest of your life 
everything turns upside 
down way to fast the 
world keeps turning 
and I keep counting the 
number of days I've been 
here without
