Listen to poem:

Day At the Beach

Summer days
Great expectations
Torrid sun
Cool ocean breeze
Lounging on a sandy beach
Suntan lotion and bikinis
Scattered towels
Transistor radios
Picnic coolers
Fun and games
Flying frisbies
Bouncing beach balls
Laughter fills the air
Come on in
The water’s great

I will be going to the beach just now. And what amazes me most is that there is absolutely no plastic at Oliva Beach, just water and lots of fun ...

This part made me smile, for I figured you were talking about the 60's. "Transistor radios". I have not heard this term for over thirty years.

Had to sneak that one in there. That was about the last time I wore a bikini at the beach. LOL

Love it! Makes me long for the beach. Problem is though every time I lie on the beech they throw water on me and drag me into the ocean! ;0
