Day and night

As beautiful as the sun brightens our day
And brings vibrant colors to our eyes
As the wind blows through the blades of grass

As good as that is, the night brings its blessings too
As the moon lets out its beams of light to gaze upon our faces
In the night, as the stars light up the sky like fireflies
We know the vastness of the night is not that scary

With shadows that dance upon the wall
And crickets serenading us all
The world is hushed, in peaceful sleep
Where dreams unfold, and secrets keep
And in the darkness, love shines bright and deep
