Day After Day

How quickly
the morning
news
moves on;
the bridge
was last
week,
the earthquake
yesterday,
today
the eclipse
may trigger
Armageddon,
meanwhile
outside birds
are chirping,
flowers
are blooming,
and no rain
is forcast
today
or tomorrow.
