Day

One day
My bones will be weaker
My head will hold more grey hairs
My eyesight will be poorer
Blood will flow slowly in my body
My heart beat will be slower
And my nerves less sensitive
And when that day comes
I wanna be by your side
Hold your arm through thick and thin
Stay up all night
Not counting stars, but
Looking after our kids,
Helping you count the grey hairs in your head,
Searching everywhere for the keys
Which you ll be hanging around your neck
And I will proclaim with even my last breath,"you are the me I never want to lose. "

A day will come
When we can no longer move swiftly
When our backs crack after every step
When we argue over where the sun rose from
When we criticise all we do now.
And when that day come,
I wanna move no more
But rather be forever by your side
Be your help and support
For together we will bear every step.
I pray that we see so many sunsets
Thay someday when we join the stars
Someone will stay out all night to watch them.
And for all we do now,
Be the favourite bedtime stories tou our grandchildren.
For when that day come,I will still proclaim with even my last breath, "you are the me i never wanna lose."

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
