Dawn's Awakening
here comes the sun’s gentleness
blushing against my eyelids
spilling his desire for a woman’s gifts
hidden until the dawn’s awakening smile
now cast upon the wanting ocean
sprinkles of rose petals staining the sky
each morning a present to open
the savior of dark nights in thunders boom
gone just like the winds raging cries
left only with memories of his transient touch
and the warmth felt pressed to my skin
