Dawn Or Dusk

Dawn or Dusk?

Heart of darkness, Soul of light,
One the day, the other, night
Where they meet, love alight.

Life entrapped, not white nor black
Happens where the colors stack
Dusk retreat, dawn attack.

Pendulums tick gears that tock
Speak in clicks within old clocks
Youth longevity mocks.

Within this hour I awake
Crepuscular cycle take
Emotionally jarred, I quake.

Does day retreat and night advance?
Do feelings wane, or wax perchance?
Stay I in bed or start the dance?

The colors shift, the stars do shine
The wispy clouds are clementine
Frozen moment, memory mine.
