Dawn Is Its Own Answer
We receive light
from a powerful star
which enables us to survive
Our finite time here
is really something of a miracle
Scientists will analyze it
but true appreciation of this wonder
belongs to the poets
Our time is brief
we must do what we can within its confines
Eyes light up on warm, sunny days
Our hearts send out our thanks
To whomever is responsible for this magic
It is a gift, I believe
from the Master of Forever
