Dawn
The magnanimous dawn light
called to me like a lover
sweeping down and around
like a curtain of velvet
embracing and invigorating
and uplifting in its glory.
From her solar heart pulsed
it seemed such a song of joy
as to permeate all that is.
The swallows and robins sang
and chirped as if tomorrow would never come.
The trees and flowers bowed and swayed
to a cadenze heard only by them.
The deep reddish orange orb of the sun
flamed like a mighty God
crowned with a violet tiara
as the Earth and all life forms praised
her life-giving energies.
