Dawn
and then it was dawn
I heard her listening to my favorite song
Just by the murmurs of the headphones she just kept on
Her hair swaying slightly like an intoxicated teen
Thoughts went to younger years
and revived playful schemes
an audible sigh
..indifferent
Relieved?
No answer reported
My hands pressed
..not clean
Watching and waiting on a yet turned bed
The music is playing
and she dances in my head
Am I still presentable?
Do my words take note?
..she hasn't turn to see me
no letters flow a float
And as I ponder in a wander of alternative and done
the song stops playing
her hair stops swaying
she lifts herself and walks
the time has passed
I tsk'd a task
I could of said:
"Let's talk."
...and then it was dawn...
