Dawn
We paused to reflect where we are headed,
recognising the transience of earth life,
where pleasure delights but pain is dreaded,
futile seeming needless struggle and strife,
before probing how peace may be attained,
in as a state that does not come and go,
we peered into our heart and found it stained,
enmeshed in desires we’re loathe to forgo,
so we took a step backwards to discern,
why our attention orbits body-mind,
which is doomed to die and in which we burn,
simply since head is not with heart aligned,
being the cause of our inner conflict,
since vibrations we choose are not hand picked.
Since vibrations we choose are not hand picked
but rather governed by feral cravings,
it would appear that our soul has been tricked
by incessant cries of ego’s ravings,
propelled by thought, so putting it on pause,
as an experiment, we remained still
and by doing so, found we are the cause,
as the sole actuator of our will,
so with no one to blame we concluded
that if voids within our heart are to fill,
thoughts must be from our presence excluded
employed when required but otherwise not,
silence our default mode, where we’re self-taught.

where present as awareness in stillness,
with no mundane battles left to be fought,
befriending the void, path of our wellness,
we flowed gently though life in witness mode
and found all acts are solely by God done,
so breath by breath singing to Him an ode,
in time our aura glowed like yonder sun,
propelled by power of bliss magnetism,
recalibrating our form in stages,
fully illumining mind-body prism,
implanting in us wisdom of sages
and this way, head and heart with love wedded,
we paused to reflect where we are headed.
