Daughters of Medusa
Daughters of Medusa
Grey hair, ginger hair, dark hair......
All simmering in an inverted jar,
Cooked and fried
Headshrinkers doing serious business.
These avid Girls will electrocute each other
By the charged buckets;
Humming and heating headgear,
While mirrors bear smiling faces
Hamstrung on Saloon chairs.
Adept hands run through tresses
Obsessed with hanging on others’ hairs.
Girls can kidnap one with hair unkempt
To cook and spice his head
Immersed her in a burning bucket
That dehorns the Devil!
Some enjoy just coming and sitting
And seeing others being cooked
While listening to gossip
From freak survivors of fiery buckets.
They don’t ape the Medusa.
When hair is unkempt
They say they better live without a head!
Once, they fretted with the Statue of Liberty
Intend to do hair of the ashen effigy.
Obsessed, they turned to babies...
Cooking kid hair sleeping on mother’s lap
To look like a model bedridden!
Unfortunately,
Hair is the only part one cannot
Properly handle by own hands
With enough dexterity.
Then, another is hired
To hang on another’s furry dome
Like weaver birds on bowers.
Pity is that these Girls never ever bald
Doing hair is, therefore, lifelong business.
Had they had a bald....
They would whip it in every direction,
Simmering it in Saloon cauldrons until.....
Wish they have Moses’ long beard
Long enough to step on the toes...
Abundance of which sucked dry
The angry Red Sea
But fire-resistant enough
To survive the Burning Bush.....
Would it survive the cooking Saloons...
Talking, backwards heads they flip
To throw baked hair off their faces
A sign that they think most
When it involves cooked hairs!
Pony tails, piggy tails, bushy tails...
Tails shaking own Dogs!
Locks....Roots...trees up-side-down...
Never losing sense of direction
Pulling by the unforgiving gravity.
Power in hair is awesome
Hair is a mop that thinks!
A mop that is cleaned after cleaning
So that it continues
Thinking without stinking!.
Hair food....O! Hair needs food.
Mixture:
Some of it laced with hashish
To bestow real power in the head.
Would they be butting rams....
Antlers... hair that pierce to kill
Or Giraffe’s horns, a bundle of fur
To smooch foe
With a papier-mâché gore!
So is the power of hair.
That’s why Girls haunt Saloons
Don’t behead Medusa
Perseus let her tresses stir
Let her beauty shine.
