Daughter

You bear my name and wear my face
And what we feel can’t be misplaced
Because through the years I’ve watched you grow
Spent sleepless nights so you would know…
That I would give my life for you
Just to make sure you get through
All your trials and tribulations
Solving all your life’s equations…
Where you’re going I have been
So trust me I’m your one true friend
I would never tell you wrong
So listen to our favorite song…
And remember that the words you hear
Are never meant to bring you tears
I can’t stand to see your cry
And if you do I’ll dry your eyes…
So if you ever feel in vain
I’ll be there to ease your pain
Whenever something bothers you
It may hurt your Father too…
