Daughter

When I die
Give my poetry to my daughter
I want her to get to know my inner thoughts
To get to really know her father

When I’m gone
May my poems motivate and guide you
Let the pages be my soul
And you can always take me with you

When I die
Just know that each poem
Is a part of me
Pieces of a puzzle
Like a painting you alone were meant to see

When I’m gone
Know that my favorite poems I never put in writing
Instead
Its in the memories of the times I spend with you
In your heart is where you’ll find me

When I die
If there’s anything you take from me
Let it be that your the author of your book
And the writer of your story

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
