Dating Memory

I’m gonna be happy tonight,
I’m Gonna shine up my sneakers,
Gonna do them up just right,
I’m gonna take in all the sights.
I’m gonna put on my best t-shirt,
The one with Jimi on the front,
I am gonna not worry about the dirt
On my car, cause I am doin’ what I want.
My girl and I are goin’ out and have fun,
Just to find what is out there all right,
We’re not comin’ back until the first sun,
Cause we’re gonna be happy tonight.
We’ll find us some good drink and food,
We’ll find a place to look up at the moon,
Then will find a place to put us in the mood,
Then we’ll dance and sing to a funky tune.
Oh, we’re gonna be very happy tonight.
