Dates and Courtships
Today, I had the pleasure
honor and delight of finding you
like a savored breath of ocean air
as though there is a tide that runs north to you.
Each day is unique
each morning, a promise
the sweet, delicate sound of your voice
led me to follow the soothing sound.
Come to you even in the guise of common words
hinting at the song of you and me
each night, a renewal of hope
life can be beautiful.
Enter the private retreat that you
discreetly, reserve for yourself
you and me always touching
and the smile became flesh.
And led me willingly to the dark
the kiss of brightness still upon me.
