Darling Son

This poem is written for a friend who is like a Sister to me and lost her son who was aged just 9. I have her permission to share.

Darling Son, though you are gone,
Your soul remains so bright,
Our first born boy,
You brought so much joy,
From morning through to night.

You are to us the brightest star,
That never fades away,
The one that is so near yet far,
And guides us on our way.

We love you more than words can say,
You're forever in our hearts,
Our memories will stay that way,
As they have right from the start.

Nice tribute, Lee. To lose a young boy is simply so, so hard. Your poem is a comfort, no doubt... Let's have additions this year; no more subtractions. Warm wishes, Gershon
