Darkness Looms

When will the fog
lift off the bay

When will the sun
scorch it away

Mind dank in darkness

     Black hole
                  so black
                                falling
                                falling
ever deeper

a veil looms
where joy
once existed.

Oh
for this weighty
fog be lifted.

Foggy, cloudy cold wet weather can work on ones nerves, and mood if it continues for a long period of time, enjoyed this poem - well done Allen. Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Enjoyed reading your work today. Depression can be a bad fellow and here lately so much fog, clouds and rain or snow it brings a body down. You described it very well. Sara
