Darkness

The cold stinging dark disrupts
My gentle heart.
I feel broken, wretched bitter
And deeply cold.
Darkness grabs me, it knocks
Loudly at my hearts door.
Running from the ugly gloom,
My aching heart seeks no more.

While I drown in the black sea
Of misery, I am so shattered.
As I stumble and fall, my soul
Is lost surly scattered.
The strolling pain is deep, it
Pools quickly around my heart.
As I strive to forget you, I pray
For that brand new start.
