Darkness

I welcome
darkness;
it covers
the tears,
liquid memories
which ooze out
of blue dreams
then touch my lips,
where I taste salt
that reminds me
of the essence
and the spirit
that’s dying
in this
darkness
I welcome.

Hi Darlene, thanks for understanding, this is another poem that was written when I was dealing with an almost overwhelming sense of loneliness and depression. Writing was my way of dealing with it. It has taken me 15 years to get up the courage to share these poems. Even then, they need work to be good enough to share. Enjoy your day! Ron
