Darkness

Darkness has slowly caved In
and ensnared me In Its grasp
I'm fighting a battle I cannot win
as I struggle against Its clasp

I'm trapped In Its powerful hold
with nothing to help me out
my world Is growing so cold
and no one can hear my shout

I feel locked inside a cage
and the key is set too high
I cannot defeat this stage
no matter how hard I try

I cannot reach the light
everything slowly becomes dimmer
the light shines less and less bright
and darkness Is the winner...
