Darkened days

But why darken my days into long nights? To make sleep reap my crops and fall my leaves. Red, yellow, orange brown they fell from heights But why darken my days into long nights? You just made my nosey friends hid in frights; Birds fled the sky, a feat autumn achieves. But why darken my days into long nights? To make sleep reap my crops and fall my leaves.
