Dark Water

On a cold, dark, blackened night I walk along the shoreline The bright moon glows And shines its light upon the ocean Illuminating the crystalline waters It whisks me away to heavenly solitude As my eyes slowly shut The lashes calmly lower and click silently against my face All I see is darkness I feel a shifting in my kneecaps And hear a chuckle I think the ocean is talking to me And I awaken from my trance Hoping that I may feel that peace again
