Dark Warm Stare

This pleasure stands before me
This mind freeing relaxing silk
I hear it speak in laughter has others need it’s milk

I see it’s colour of darkness and try to find its light
I know if I let my will free it’s ruins another night.

The aroma floats around me, I close my eyes and I can taste its flavours too
Part of mind is swaying to let myself free whilst part of it steadies this broken fool.

I sit and look at my enemy, my nemesis doesn’t speak but screams it’s silent menace under a dark warm stare

I walk away from its taunting of me
and leave the full glass of red wine standing there.
