Dark Sunrise

The cup reminds me
 I’m getting older
The coffee hints
A bit more bolder

No milk, no cream
Just pour it steamin’
Caress the warm cup
While I’m dreamin’

The last sip cold
I’ll gladly slurp
And thank it loudly
With a burp

What a fun, lighthearted read. I'm lifting my coffee cup to salute your words and wait - wait - nope, no burp to be heard. Really enjoyed this wee write ... CayCay

You were so deep in thought enjoying the warmth of your morning cup that I wasn't prepared for your burp. lol John. A warm opening and a cold ending that left me smiling.
