Was the moon in a bad mood? It came up from over the horizon Dark red, deep rubicund. It rose slowly Following its normal pattern. Still dark red, erubescent As if in anger. I sat on the pusillanimous sand, alone. Moody and irritable. Now she had left. And I'm sad and angry, Unlike the wavelets That flowed over the rim of the beach. There will be no peace between us. Still the moon shone Dark red.
