Dark Realms

He came in dressed in black and an ominous silence fell over the bidders But there was no turning back They had entered a vey dark realm Then the bidding started The bids got higher and higher It reached a frenzied pitch..... But the lady with sad eyes had made the highest bid Silence fell over the room once more as she stood up to claim her prize How could she win, When the auctioneer had just sold death to the highest bidder

Dear joseph, this is such a deeply moving poem that made me pause especially as i read the ending and i cant help but feel the line “ But the lady with sad eyes had made the highest bid” so much conveyed here in such a descriptive manner. Can see through your word weaving here. Its always a pleasure reading you. Hope holidays treat you well. Sending you light always

What a scarey poem did she know that she had bidded for death, .surely not. But there are strange things happening and some very dark on our planet, it is as though humanity wants a death wish. Blessings my friend, a very interesting poem, enjoyed reading.. Blessings Jennjfér

I love the story of the auctioneer. My husband had been a compulsive auction bidder. I'm glad this guy wasn't there then. Good poem.
