Dark Features
Dark Features
Gone where silent days
Escape me. Cry baby.
You never promised me
Light by joy. Count your
Petunias as opened full. Pine
Away. You can’t have my torch.
Black shed painted blackest.
Sit inside,
Think up a joke. You filled
Your nights with owl’s tears.
Breathing warmer than the
Bun on my plate. Butter up
And poke fun into it.
Justice isn’t my foray into
Forced liabilities. My minds
Inability fell two flights downward.
The stump out back blew up
Last night. I have no place to sit.
Look at the bottom of your rusted
Can of peas. It’s dark like my
Feature brought out by dingy mascara.
Scrape green moss on the other
Side. It was laid out under that
Fallen, black rotted tree.
Defied who invented color black.
Hostile concepts angered
Yesterday’s thoughts. Some were
Fierce from fragile words. Darker
Rings around the tub
Brought feelings of justice
Confirmed by a genius.
Promote feelings changing into
Numbing touches.
I’ll be dark till the sun
Comes up on my other shoulder.
