Dark Anthem
The street knows the score
Marks for who and what for
Dues marked paid
That you do not ignore
Take another route
If you don't want to know
Blood in blood out
You don't just come and go
I know it will come for you
And the things it will do
I'm the sorry prophet
When it comes true
When you see around you
The darkness and the light
It's what to do
What's wrong and right
Do you glean the weak
And feed upon the meek
Or look inside
For those things you seek
It's your choice of scars
And the scars of choice
It's the who you are
That is you in your voice
It's the knowing that gets you
Feeling that there is nothing new
Waiting for the past to catch up
Living in the future with nothing to do
