Dark Angel

I honestly don’t know what tomorrow brings But for today I will enjoy the peace in my life As I watch the quiet snow flurry outside my window I know the love I feel inside is broken The joy that I used to know with you has been driven away So fiercely I want to find the way back to my inner soul Where the birds would sing the sweetest songs The sound of the Ocean would soothe my mind And the greenest grass will feel invigorating beneath my toes A dark angel with her wings of thorns Grabbed hold of you and robbed you of your passion Until she hurled you helplessly to the cold, frigid ground She pierced your soul and took everything You held so dearly Including me Now I am willing to open the door once again And give you all the opportunities to start from the beginning I may feel abused, and severely bruised But I am not to be taken lightly This is heavier than anything I have ever endured With all my being I ask for an abundance of positive light May that dark angel crash to the ground And the darkness that surrounds her disappear into the abyss Just breathe my love We’ve got this
