Dark

Dark is the light in us all Death destruction and poverty consumes all But there is a light A light so bright A light in us all In a world full of complexities The light seems to fade Humanity in such disdain The heartless scorn which mourns There is a light for all Do you go towards the light? Be it the bitter end or a new beginning A void or paradise Complacency takes his stride Are we worthy? I speak for all As the darkness begins to fall There is a bird that takes flight Is it a symbol of hope? Or just another one’s demise?
