Dare To Rise

Weaken from years of carrying a heavy load, Confused about which path to take or which road. Feeling lonely while there is noise all around, Where should I turn ? where can help be found? The bitter tears just sting my face , As I seek to find a safe place. I am broken trying to find a way to cope, Where should I turn? Where can I find hope? You will never find women to bear you up they say, This is just not their style, find your own way. Deep down , a part of me knew this was wrong, There are sisters out there who can help me to be strong. Today is a new day as my sisters help me rise, No more doubting ourselves or believing their lies. There is strength in unity and today we have the power, And we will rise with power as we lift each other. No more will we be denied our place as sisters united, We will rise by lifting others and not be short-sighted. Powered up to move forward as we change the world’s view, We will break the cycle and create a better world too. Rise up by lifting your sister, rise up by lifting your daughter, Rise up by lifting your mother, rise up by lifting a friend or even a stranger. Rise up and help others to fly and achieve their goal, Let us rise and lift others to find their purpose and take control. When we lift others it will make us all rise, We will be their wings as we help them to realize The sky is their limit to what they can truly achieve, And where they harbour doubt we will help them believe. I am powered up today as we vow to unite and stand together, I will rise, you will rise, we will rise by lifting each other.
