Dare To Dream

Dare to Dream

Bottled dreams
Under lock and key
Whispers on wings
We seldom see
Reality loosened
On sleeping shores
Wave upon wave
Inviting more
Memories mixed
With fantasy lore
Enticing visuals
To dare explore
Ride the tides
To foreign sands
An open mind
Urged to expand
Bottled dreams
Turn the key
Open thoughts
Set them free

Wonderful write on dreams. It's good to read you again. I like how some are kept close under lock and key. I think our minds are most open in dreams. Well done.

Hello Debra, so glad you stopped. I was short last time on this sweet rhyme. It really deserves better. But that being said, I think I'll stop. For crying out loud, this ain't a letter. :)

We spend a lot of our life pleasing others only to forget about ourselves in the process. Our dreams get locked away while we focus on others. Nicely written. love phyl

Debra; this is really good. I think that's what I need to do. All my life I spend trying to please other people. Now I'm going to try to please myself. Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem. Lucilla

I've been on a week's holiday in Turkey, there is the internet very bad - has not been reading much poetry. - (But when I have vacation I would do other things) - Today I'm back home and have time to read your lovely poetry Debra. - Have a relaxed weekend. - oxox / / Anne-Lise :)
