Notes About The Poem

Danse Macabre

demeanour relaxed and affable
he was not a dancer, yet performed a jig
return gift an ivory photo frame for each guest
the painkiller shielded his terminal illness
dance of death enacted in jest

Yes...we must go on. Somehow. Someway. Ahead is the only path, no option for light to stand still. Even in silence, alive and shimmering. Waiting to hitch a conscious ride. Blessings my friend.
