Dangerous Reverberations

Ominous sounds, tremors felt underneath the feet Moving all of the idols Would they warn the people if they could speak? Echoes from the past, dangerous reverberations Nothing man made ever last, no kingdoms ... no nations Perilous noise, the air filled with violent vibrations Vicious vortex with an evil eye, look to demolish everything in sight Where will the idols hide; would they tell others to follow, lead them to safety if they could talk? Mute are their emotions, deadened to the downtrodden’s pain and suffering The cries of the pitiful fall on their deaf ears Idols without compassion never hear Dangerous reverberations, echoes from the past In the valley of dark shadows, the dire warning sounds always do return — But will man ever listen and learn?
