Dangerous Love

Holding back seems the hardest part,
Having good reason not to fall apart,
I sigh...unable to say a word,
My heart beating faster for the words unheard,
With a lump in my throat I smile, and walk away,
Those feelings are dangerous, bottled up, in my way!

Ah love, perhaps forbidden, perhaps unrequited, perhaps of someone unattainable by whatever circumstance and yet one recognized by both concerned. I have no doubt many of us have felt it at some unfortunate time in our existence. You have captured the feeling with great accuracy.
