One dingy smoky bar in old Vallarta Alive after midnight with disco dances, She balanced with a salty margarita Exchanging not-so-subtle, knowing glances The beautiful raven-haired senorita, Employing seductive Hispanic prances, Took away the naïve, youthful touriste's breath Lead him into a hypnotic dance of death. Beats us Mountaineer blogging, for sure! I thought the form really fit the theme. Seems some are liking it. I'll try it again, but as I told someone, this form is more difficult for me than some more intricate French forms. You keep up your fantastic work, okay?

A triumph of style and story Milton - Congratulations. I've just spent the last ten minutes reading up on this form of poetry and found out it goes back to Tuscan poets about 800 years ago. Fascinating! Cheers - Gary

Thanks, Gary. I'm glad you were prompted to learn more about this form. Actually, I found it more difficult to work with than some other more intricate forms like tarzanelles and villanelles. When I write, I try to match the subject matter to the poetry form with which it works best. I enjoy word games, too.
