Notes About The Poem

Dandelion Dream

-Dandelion Dream-

I stand close with a fistful of flowers
My tiny bouquet made of dandelion dreams
They fade with one gush from the wind
I stand close with a fistful of flowers
Holding on tight to jagged leaves
Sprinkles of sand fall over my needs
I stand close with a fistful of flowers
My tiny bouquet made of dandelion dreams

Add me to the long list of admirers of this poem, Skat A. I love flowers, so the poem really struck a good vibe w/me. Now I know what a triolet poem looks like. Ty for sharing such a positive show-and-tell poem w/us. I can already see how talented a poetess you are. Much love and respect.

Pretty flowers come alive in this fistful of a dreamy triolet, smooth and fascinating with the images it presents.

Skat, very pretty Triolet, I used to pick dandelions for my mom, they were always totally wilted, but she still put them in a glass on the window ledge, 7, and thanks for visiting my poem, Quick Exit

Beautiful imagery; I love the dandelion--except when it overtakes my lawn. Thanks for your recent visit to my poem "Books."

A short write but so powerful. A mark of a finer sense of expression. Bravo and especially loved the line "Holding on tight to jagged leaves"
