Dancing With God 2
I've danced with God quite a few times,
I no longer accept his invitations,
The venues he takes me to are questionable,
And the musicians, just cheap imitations
I don't think God knows how to dance,
I know he certainly cannot lead,
He jerks me hard to the left, then the right,
And stomps on my toes 'til they bleed
I've danced with men who knew their stuff,
They held me close, moving me gently and slow,
Now that was a dance I could do for life,
God's dance steps caused nothing but woe
So I'll just stay off the dance floor
When God begins strutting his stuff,
I'll listen to the music, but I won't dance,
I've danced with God..... and I've had enough!
