Dancing Trees
The trees stood surrounded by a symphony of sound
They stood bewildered stretching out there rippling leaves
As another crescendo echoed through the branches
They swayed melodically in this southern breeze
The leaves danced caressing the sturdy trunks
The melody rode on the southern breeze
As it twisted and turned and wound around each rippling leave
Each leave danced without refrain
Waiting for the intermittent wind
To pick up the melody once again
Once the melody stopped they would wait for the wind again.
