Dancing In the Clouds

You never force your way on me
A choice you always gave me
Thank God I made the right choice
To receive Jesus into my life
I am so glad I did
That’s why today I am dancing in the clouds

The day the beggar held out his cup
I dropped a quarter in
I really couldn’t spare it
But I gave it anyway
I am so glad I did
That’s why today I am dancing in the clouds.

The day you showed me that picture
It saddened my heart so deep
I had to send a dollar a day
To feed a little child
I am so glad I did
That’s why today I am dancing in the clouds.

It’s really nice to help another
To remember to love my brother
For the day will come
Like it has for me
To hear the heavenly music
I am so glad I did
That’s why today I am dancing in the clouds.

The day my Father called me home
And in the Good book pointed to my name
With all the kind deeds I did on earth
I am so glad I did
That’s why today I am dancing in the clouds.

 Trumpets blast, bugles blare
angels sing rejoicing before the King
Just for this happy soul of mine
That’s why today I am dancing in the clouds.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers Meg. They will do all the pre-ops on Monday. I see the doctors on Wednesday for the final instructions. This is a lovely poem. I like the message and the reverence it reflects. I really like the last stanza a lot. God bless and great job! ~Joseph
